Dr. Saad Saad’s Two Life-Shaping Events

Dr. Saad Saad, a pediatric surgeon of 47 years before his retirement, was born in country of Palestine towards latter years of 1940’s. His father was a highly skilled petroleum mechanic and he has seven siblings, who like him are very successful.

Dr. Saad Saad and his seven siblings were raised and educated in the country of Kuwait because of the establishment of the country of Israel, which forced a great number of Palestinian families to leave Palestine and find a home in a different country.

Dr. Saad Saad found a home in Kuwait where he pursued a high level of education due to his father’s urging. It is also in Kuwait where he conceived of the vision to become a pediatric surgeon after two events occurred to shape his future.

The first event happened when Dr. Saad Saad was in elementary school. His father used the family’s status as refugees without a country, individuals who no passports, and persons without a bright future to get the message across to him that he must get a high level of education in order to be successful in life and be respected by others. This talking by his father had the effect of igniting a drive in Dr. Saad Saad that would result in him pursuing a high level of education and applying himself studiously to his studies.

The second event took place when Dr. Saad Saad was in high school and when he had serious thoughts of obtaining a career in the field of engineering. But everything changed when he went with his brothers to a construction site and experienced a heat stroke while there due to the brutal heat of a typical summer day in the country of Kuwait. Dr. Saad Saad’s Life as a Pediatric Surgeon

Dr. Saad Saad has had a very fascinating journey that has led him from Palestine to the United States and the top of the medical field. His story is one that is very unlikely. Dr. Saad was a pediatric surgeon for almost five decades. He is now retired and spending his time doing the activities he never had time to enjoy while he was still a practicing surgeon. Most people who become a surgeon have dreamed about it their entire life. However, that was not the case with him. Dr. Saad was unsure what he wanted his career to be until a fateful day in his teens when he paid a visit to a Kuwait site where a building was being constructed. The heat eventually overcame him and he lost consciousness. This was a huge moment in his life because he knew that he had to avoid any jobs that required outdoor work.

With outdoor work out of the question, Dr. Saad began to think about indoor occupations that suited him. He realized that becoming a pediatric surgeon would be the right job for him because he could be in a fully air conditioned room every day while he was at work. He then went to medical school. Growing up in Palestine taught him a lot about hard work and perseverance. He knew that pursuing a higher education would give him the opportunity to have a better life and avoid a menial occupation. Many of the men in his town were laborers and taxi drivers. He did not want to have that sort of life.

Dr. Saad knew that the best medical and surgical innovations were taking place in the United States. Therefore, he set his mind on moving to that country and becoming U.S. Board Certified in the field of pediatric surgery. This was a very difficult certification to get because only a select few pediatric surgeons had it at that time. However, he was able to achieve this certification and his career really took off after that. He was unique because none of the other U.S. Board Certified surgeons spoke English and Arabic fluently. This opened a very interesting door for him. The royal family from the country of Saudi Arabia hired him. This gave him a level of prestige and notoriety that other people in his profession could not match.

It was not long before many medical journals were doing profiles on Dr. Saad. He became famous in a field where surgeons are unknown for the most part. This helped him to carve a career path based on his own desires. He no longer had to bow down to the boards that were in charge of the hospitals he worked at. Life Lessons from Dr. Saad Saad, Pediatric Surgeon – UPDATE

Dr. Dov Rand Turns Back Aging’s Clock

Aging causes emotional and physical issues. Depression and anxiety are common in older people. Insomnia, hot flashes and loss of libido are some of the physical consequences of aging.

Albert Einstein School of Medicine graduate and Bioidentical Hormone Specialist Dr. Dov Rand’s practice the Healthy Aging Medical Center is devoted to countering the effects of aging. Dr. Rand’s counter aging therapy addresses both the physical and psychological needs of the patient.

Treatment begins with a blood test. The test will reveal which hormones and vitamins a patient is lacking. The replacement therapy can be conducted intravenously.

Hormones affect the body positively and negatively. The level of positive hormones decreases as we age. The positive hormone chorionic gonadotropin ensures that the fetus is properly nourished during pregnancy. In older people, CG helps with weight management. That is why Dr. Rand utilizes the HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) diet.

Dr. Rand uses bioidentical hormones rather than synthetic hormones in his replacement therapy. The potential side effects of synthetic hormones, cancer, heart disease, and hypertension can be deadly. Bioidentical hormones are derived from plants and their possible side effects are non-life threatening. With hormones in proper balance, the risk of cancer and heart disease decreases and energy levels rise.

Low-calorie diets are often counter-productive because the dieter is constantly hungry. The HCG diet is low calorie, but the chorionic gonadotropin keeps the patient from feeling hungry. The HCG diet yields result faster than other diet programs.

Exercise and education are part of the HCG regimen. The benefits of exercise are self-explanatory. Dr. Dov Rand has discovered once a patient is educated verbally and with printed material that explains how the replacement therapies, low-calorie diet, and exercise work in unison to achieve weight loss they are more likely to stick with the program.

While weight loss and exercise mitigate effects of aging they may not be enough by themselves. Dr. Dov Rand’s West Orange, NJ based practice also offers pain management treatments. Dr. Rand is a certified acupuncturist. He is further certified in the administration of steroids, cortisol injections, and nerve blocks.
